Dr Joanna Chen
BDS
Dr Joanna graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2010 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and has been caring for smiles ever since. She’s passionate about making every visit a positive experience and is committed to staying up to date with the latest in dental care through ongoing training and education.

Joanna is known for her gentle, friendly approach and takes the time to make sure her patients feel comfortable and well looked after. Her keen eye for detail and love for her work means she always strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for every smile.

She enjoys all areas of general dentistry and has a special interest in cosmetic and children’s dentistry. Whether you're visiting for a check-up or a complete smile makeover, Joanna aims to provide care that’s tailored, thorough, and reassuring.

Outside the clinic, Joanna lives locally in Roseville with her husband, who is a specialist orthodontist, and their three young children—Lucas, Liam, and little Lara. When she’s not busy with dentistry or family life, she enjoys yoga, Pilates, playing piano, cooking, and travelling. Joanna also speaks fluent English, Malay, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Dr Sasha Rutnam
BDS(Sydney), MRCDS, AAICD
Dr Sasha Rutnam is a highly trusted dental surgeon who has been caring for patients on Sydney’s North Shore for over 30 years. With a commitment to helping patients keep their natural teeth for life, Sasha takes a preventative, personalised approach to dentistry, creating bespoke treatment plans tailored to each individual’s long-term oral health goals.

Renowned for her calm, thorough approach, Sasha has extensive experience managing complex cases. Her expertise is supported by decades of ongoing postgraduate training and professional development. She believes that clear communication, education, and trust are central to achieving outstanding clinical outcomes.

She is dedicated to ensuring that every visitor leaves with a positive experience. By focusing on gentle, tailored care, Sasha ensures her clinical work is highly effective and modern, helping even the most anxious patients feel completely safe and relaxed throughout their visit.

A long-term North Shore resident, Sasha is proud to be an active member of the local community. She deeply values building lasting relationships with the families she cares for, and when away from the clinic, she enjoys staying active and spending quality time with family.

Dr Karenza Don Paul
BMedSc, BDent
Dr Karenza Don Paul graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and grew up in the suburbs of Roseville and East Lindfield. Because of this, she is very familiar with the local area. In fact, her very first job as a young adult was right down the road at the local Roseville pharmacy on Hill Street.

During the course of her successful career, Dr Karenza has come to enjoy all aspects of modern general dentistry. She finds it particularly rewarding to work closely with nervous or anxious patients, making it her personal mission to help them comfortably overcome their fears through gentle, patient communication.
​
Patient care is always her highest priority, and she hopes to make every person feel completely at ease in the chair. She also genuinely enjoys the educational side of dentistry, taking the extra time to help patients fully understand their customized clinical procedures and treatment plans.
​
Outside of work, Dr Karenza thoroughly enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her two boys. She loves being part of the local community, keeping active, and balancing her busy professional life with a warm, fulfilling family environment that keeps her grounded and inspired.

Dr Yong Kho
BDS, BMed MSurg, MRACDS (PDS)
Dr Yong Kho is a registered general dentist and registered medical practitioner. Yong graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The University of Adelaide, a Bachelor of Medicine from The University of Newcastle, and a Master of Surgery from The University of Sydney, where he was awarded the prestigious Dental School Medal.

Yong has worked extensively in both public and private practice across dentistry and medicine. He trained at Prince of Wales Hospital, Westmead Hospital, The Canberra Hospital, John Hunter Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, and Queen’s Medical Centre (UK). His clinical experience includes various surgical disciplines, critical care, paediatrics, and general medicine.
​
Yong is a formal Member (by examination) of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He is actively involved in professional training, serving as an Examiner in the college Primary Dental Sciences Examination, and works as a Clinical Educator in the Dental Extraction clinic at The University of Sydney.
​
His general dental practice is highly focused on advanced surgical dentistry. Previously, Yong has been deeply involved in volunteer medical and dental work both locally and internationally, and has proudly sat on various boards and committees to help improve patient care access across the community.

Janet lie
BOH
Janet is a valued Oral Health Therapist who graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Oral Health. She is deeply passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Working closely alongside our dentists, she supports comprehensive hygiene programs with a collaborative approach that ensures highly personalised care.

With years of experience in adult care and restorative dental work, Janet also brings valuable insight from her time working with a specialist orthodontist. This background makes her exceptionally knowledgeable in supporting patients undergoing orthodontic treatment or navigating the unique challenges of managing braces.

Committed to making every visit comfortable and informative, Janet listens carefully to your unique concerns to develop care plans that fit your lifestyle. Whether teaching effective gum care techniques or providing gentle, thorough cleanings, she is dedicated to guiding you through every single step of your oral health journey.

Her calm, friendly approach easily helps patients of all ages feel completely at ease—especially those who feel nervous. Janet also speaks fluent Indonesian, helping her connect with a wider community. Outside the clinic, she loves spending quality time with family, discovering new dining spots, and travelling.

Hayley Yu
BSc (Oral Health Therapy)
Hayley began her journey in dentistry as a dedicated dental assistant before pursuing further education. Driven by a strong commitment to oral health care, she graduated from Curtin University in 2023 as a qualified Oral Health Therapist. Her career foundation highlights her deep-rooted passion for delivering exceptional clinical results.

Before relocating to Sydney, Hayley worked closely alongside a renowned Periodontist. Through this experience, she developed advanced skills in treating all stages of gum disease, backed by a comprehensive understanding of complex dental care. Her strong focus on restorative dentistry reflects her absolute dedication to high-quality, personalised treatment.

Hayley is particularly skilled in managing patients with high dental anxiety. She is widely known for her calm, gentle approach and her natural ability to create a supportive, reassuring clinical environment. This empowers even the most nervous individuals to feel comfortable and completely in control throughout their appointments.
