Dr Joanna Chen

BDS

Dr Joanna graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2010 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and has been caring for smiles ever since. She’s passionate about making every visit a positive experience and is committed to staying up to date with the latest in dental care through ongoing training and education.

Joanna is known for her gentle, friendly approach and takes the time to make sure her patients feel comfortable and well looked after. Her keen eye for detail and love for her work means she always strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for every smile.

She enjoys all areas of general dentistry and has a special interest in cosmetic and children’s dentistry. Whether you're visiting for a check-up or a complete smile makeover, Joanna aims to provide care that’s tailored, thorough, and reassuring.

Outside the clinic, Joanna lives locally in Roseville with her husband, who is a specialist orthodontist, and their three young children—Lucas, Liam, and little Lara. When she’s not busy with dentistry or family life, she enjoys yoga, Pilates, playing piano, cooking, and travelling. Joanna also speaks fluent English, Malay, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Dr Sasha Rutnam

BDS(Sydney), MRCDS, AAICD

Dr Sasha Rutnam is a highly trusted dental surgeon who has been caring for patients on Sydney’s North Shore for over 30 years. With a strong commitment to helping patients keep their natural teeth for life, Sasha takes a preventative, personalised approach to dentistry, creating bespoke treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs and long-term oral health goals.

Renowned for her calm, thorough approach and attention to detail, Sasha has extensive experience managing complex cases, supported by decades of ongoing postgraduate training and professional development. She believes that clear communication, education, and trust are central to achieving outstanding clinical outcomes and positive patient experiences.

A long-term North Shore resident, Sasha is proud to be an active member of the local community and values building lasting relationships with the families she cares for.

Dr Karenza Don Paul

BMedSc, BDent

Dr Karenza Don Paul graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and grew up in the suburbs of Roseville and East Lindfield so is very familiar with the area. Her first job was at the local Roseville pharmacy on Hill st.

During the course of her career, Dr Karenza has come to enjoy all aspects of dentistry especially working with nervous patients, as she finds it particularly rewarding helping them through their anxieties.

Patient care is her biggest priority, and she hopes to make patients feel at ease. She also enjoys the educational side of dentistry and helping patients to understand dental procedures.

Outside of work, Dr Karenza enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her two boys.

Dr Claire O'Mara

BDS

Dr Claire O'Mara brings a warm, friendly approach to dentistry, helping patients of all ages feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from James Cook University in Cairns and has since gained valuable experience across a wide range of general dental treatments.

Claire is passionate about making dental visits a positive experience. She takes the time to listen, explain, and tailor each treatment to suit her patients’ individual needs. Known for her gentle touch and calm, reassuring manner, Claire is especially great with patients who may feel nervous about visiting the dentist.

Whether it’s a regular check-up, restorative care, or something more complex, Claire is dedicated to delivering high-quality care with compassion and precision. She also stays up to date with the latest in dental techniques and technology to ensure her patients receive the best possible treatment.

Outside the clinic, Claire enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, relaxing at the beach, and staying active with water polo.

Dr Yong Kho

BDS; BMed MSurg; MRACDS (PDS)

Dr Yong Kho is a registered general dentist, and registered medical practitioner. Yong graduated Bachelor of Dental Surgery from The University of Adelaide, Bachelor of Medicine from The University of Newcastle, and Master of Surgery from The University of Sydney. He was awarded the Dental School Medal.

Yong has worked in both public and private practice in both dentistry and medicine. He trained at Prince of Wales Hospital, Westmead Hospital, The Canberra Hospital, John Hunter Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, and Queen’s Medical Centre (UK). His experience includes various surgical disciplines, critical care, paediatrics, and general medicine.

Yong is a Member (by examination) of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. He is actively involved in training, as an Examiner in the college Primary Dental Sciences Examination, and as a Clinical Educator in the Dental Extraction clinic at The University of Sydney.

His general dental practice is focused on surgical dentistry.

Previously, Yong has been involved in volunteer work locally and internationally, and has sat on various boards and committees.

Janet lie

BOH

Janet is a valued member of our team, bringing her expertise and gentle care as an oral health therapist. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Oral Health and is passionate about helping you achieve a healthy, confident smile.

With years of experience working within the adult care scope, Janet is skilled in restorative dental work and works closely alongside our dentists to support their comprehensive hygiene programs. This collaborative approach ensures you receive the best personalised care tailored to your needs.

Janet also has additional experience working with a specialist orthodontist, giving her extra insight into orthodontic care and treatment. This makes her especially knowledgeable in supporting patients with braces and other orthodontic needs.

Committed to making every visit comfortable and informative, Janet listens carefully to your concerns and develops personalised care plans that fit your lifestyle and goals. Whether it’s teaching the best ways to maintain healthy gums or providing gentle, thorough cleanings, Janet is here to help you every step of the way.

Her calm, friendly approach helps patients of all ages feel at ease—especially those who may feel nervous. Plus, Janet speaks Indonesian, enabling her to connect with and support a wider community of patients.

Outside the clinic, Janet enjoys quality time with family and friends, discovering new dining spots, and travelling to explore new cultures.

Hayley Yu

BSc (Oral Health Therapy)

Hayley Yu is a friendly and dedicated Oral Health Therapist who began her dental career as a dental assistant before graduating from Curtin University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Oral Health Therapy. Her background gives her a strong understanding of both clinical dentistry and patient care.

Hayley enjoys working in preventative dentistry and periodontal care, supporting patients through the management of gum disease at all stages. She also provides restorative dental care, with a particular focus on treating children and young adults, always tailoring treatment to suit each patient’s individual needs.

With a calm and caring approach, Hayley is committed to helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their oral health throughout their dental journey.
